Job description

JOB TITLE: Breeder Service Technician DATE: 5/2026

REPORTS TO: Breeder Manager STATUS:Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing breeder farmsand providing customer serviceas a Company representative to contracted growers. Monitorsgrowhouse conditions and bird welfare, provides technical assistance and recommendations on improvingconditions and grower performance, andmakes recommendations forcost reductions for the company and growers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. -Serveas liaison between Company and contract growers providing technical advice to growers on company expectations (i.e. building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, farm sanitation, industry best practices, policies, procedures, bio security,and animal welfare).

  1. -Track, compile, analyze and record data pertaining to flocks (i.e. bird weight, mortality rates, flock completion rates, egg production, etc.)

  1. -Monitor assigned flocks (i.e. bird comfort, equipment settings, male spiking, fertility, hatchability, culling, etc.) to ensure producers comply with allCompany policies andprocedures, regulatory guidelines andFederal and State regulations and laws when handling poultry; report non-compliance and/or abnormalities to appropriate personnel.

  1. -Monitor vaccination program to ensure vaccinations are administered correctly and as scheduled.

  1. -Maintain feed tank inventories ordering feed and coordinating deliveries to ensure properquantity and typeis delivered to growers in a timely manner.

  1. -Follow and promote all safety initiatives helping to maintain azero accidentculture.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  1. -Knowledge of animal welfare and food production safety regulations.

  1. -Knowledge of agriculture practices.

  1. -Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

  1. -Strong customerservice skills, maintaining a sense of urgency.

  1. -Skill in both verbal and written communication using English.

  1. -Ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.

  1. -Ability to pay attention to detail.

  1. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  1. -Ability to be a self-starter withstrong initiative.

  1. -Ability to work in afast pacedenvironment.

  1. -Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets.

  1. -Ability to work in a confined space if necessary.

  1. -Ability toliftupto 50 pounds.

  1. -Ability to work outsideon a daily basis.

  1. -Ability to work in elevated areas.

  1. -Ability to work in high temperatures.

  1. -Ability to work in loud conditions up to 85 decibels.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma required.Associate's Degreein Agricultural Science preferred.Minimum of six months experience in the agriculture or livestock industry required. Must be able to maintain safety certifications as required.
