Responsibilities
  • Drive stand-up forklift/walkie truck.
  • Know all job responsibilities
  • Monitor the radio and answer calls promptly
  • Complete yard truck inspection at the start of your shift
  • Inspect trailers for cleanliness
  • Unload potato trucks
  • Grade potatoes
  • Move trailers
  • Keep the lot organized
  • Check all trailer temps - every 4 hours
  • Responsible for keeping the outside area clean as well as the bin room
  • Complete all paperwork as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Areas of facility may include controlled temperature zones including areas with refrigeration and noise levels requiring PPE.
  • 90% Facility Environment
  • 10% Office Environment
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to be trained on a forklift
  • Knowledge of operating a yard truck (spotter)
  • Preferred experience in a production environment using a forklift
  • Skill for recognition of new opportunities and problem solving
  • Ability to work in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
