This position is also responsible for the inspection of visible blemishes, foreign material, misshapen units, and the insurance of a sound quality product.Job DescriptionOther duties may be assigned. Make up cases (if Wexxar is down) and place on case conveyer to be filledEnsure the proper count of product is in each containerEnsure the container has a legible code and is fit for useMonitor conditions of containersMonitor the line is operating smoothly and help where necessaryAdd crude trays to the tray maker when necessaryUnplug tray maker when necessaryFold stickers and place into container when spec callsEnsure product is trayed and cased correctly and efficiently with minimal amount of wasteEnsure the shrink wrap, drop bags and overall condition of the pack wrap is in good condition prior to casingEnsure the containers have the appropriate case amount in accordance with customer and case specificationsStrip out product to garbage when necessaryAid in maintaining sanitation of the assigned work areaMaintain good housekeeping in his/her assigned area: Sweep with a broom and/or squeegee and shovelInform the Supervisor immediately of any finished product change, excessive waste, and/or any unusual conditionReport any personnel problems, safety violations or hazards, infractions of plant rules, etc. to the SupervisorHelp train new personnel in the position of handpackPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisory or lead personnel.Assist with general housekeeping, dump to bulk or clean up when job duties permitRework damaged or restricted cases and bags of productMaintain a neat and clean work area at all times, and exhibit good personal hygieneRework potato product as neededBeing actively engaged in safety, participating in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, performing risk assessments and demonstrating ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.Basic & Preferred QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The proper use of Lockouts, safety procedures, and constant awareness of safety. Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being done. Tools such as shovels, squeegees, brooms, and scrub brushes will be used.
