Job description

Position Summary:

Prestige Trucking Insurance is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect, build, and own a secure, scalable CRM platform that will serve as the backbone of the companyโ€™s operations. This role is responsible for transforming an existing early-stage system into a productionโ€‘ready, enterpriseโ€‘grade platform designed specifically for the operational, regulatory, and data complexity of the trucking insurance industry. This position is not focused on feature delivery alone, but on the endโ€‘toโ€‘end design of a durable system that supports real revenue operations, sensitive data, and long-term scalability. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will have significant autonomy and ownership over architecture, infrastructure, data models, security, and engineering standards, while working closely with executive leadership to shape the technical direction and roadmap of the system. The ideal candidate brings deep fullโ€‘stack expertise, strong architectural judgment, and a productโ€‘oriented mindset, with the ability to balance speed and experimentation with security, reliability, and longโ€‘term maintainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead the development of a secure, scalable CRM platform tailored to trucking insurance operations
  • Evaluate and select appropriate backend technologies, infrastructure, hosting environments, and deployment strategies
  • Design and implement scalable backend systems, APIs, and integrations using modern fullโ€‘stack technologies
  • Build and refine frontend applications that are clean, intuitive, and optimized for internal business workflows
  • Design and enforce secure authentication and authorization systems, including RBAC, MFA, and data access controls
  • Implement industry best practices for data protection, encryption, auditing, and secure system design
  • Lead data architecture design to ensure consistency, reliability, and full support for reporting and analytics
  • Migrate, restructure, and normalize data from legacy CRM systems into the new platform
  • Integrate the CRM with Power BI and other analytics tools to enable real-time and nearโ€‘realโ€‘time reporting
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, environment separation, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Establish and enforce a full testing strategy including unit, integration, and endโ€‘toโ€‘end testing
  • Build and maintain monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery systems
  • Break the platform roadmap into clear, phased milestones with measurable outcomes
  • Act as the primary technical owner of the platform, guiding additional engineers or contractors as needed
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, operations, finance, and data stakeholders to ensure the system supports real business workflows
  • Document architecture decisions, system designs, and engineering standards to support longโ€‘term ownership

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSAโ€™s):

  • Fullโ€‘Stack Engineering Expertise โ€“ Advanced ability to design, build, and maintain modern fullโ€‘stack applications with clean separation of concerns, scalable architecture, and maintainable codebases.
  • Backend Systems & API Design โ€“ Strong skill in designing and implementing secure, scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js (TypeScript preferred) or Python.
  • Frontend Engineering & UX Awareness โ€“ Ability to build responsive, intuitive frontend applications using React or Next.js with strong attention to usability and internal user workflows.
  • Database Architecture & Optimization โ€“ Deep understanding of relational database design, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and data integrity.
  • Security & Compliance Awareness โ€“ Ability to design secure systems that protect sensitive and regulated data, including authentication, authorization, OWASP best practices, and auditability.
  • Infrastructure & DevOps Skills โ€“ Ability to design and maintain infrastructure using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and Infrastructure as Code for reliability and scalability.
  • Data & Analytics Enablement โ€“ Ability to structure data pipelines, schemas, and APIs to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • System Reliability & Resilience โ€“ Ability to design monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery processes that ensure high availability and operational confidence.
  • Architectural Judgment & Ownership โ€“ Strong decisionโ€‘making ability when balancing shortโ€‘term delivery with longโ€‘term platform sustainability and scalability.
  • Communication & Collaboration โ€“ Ability to clearly communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and system designs to both technical and nonโ€‘technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 7+ years of professional experience in fullโ€‘stack software development
  • Strong experience building backend systems with Node.js (TypeScript preferred) or Python
  • Strong experience developing frontend applications with React or Next.js
  • Proven experience designing REST APIs and backend services
  • Advanced experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization
  • Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization systems (JWT, OAuth, MFA)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments
