Job Summary:
The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University is looking to hire a Postdoctoral Associate for Education. This position will be responsible for educational and laboratory support to the Environmental Engineering program by teaching three to four (3) credit hour courses each semester and providing lab supervision. The incumbent will hold a Ph.D. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research in environmental engineering, contributing to the advancements of engineering education through teaching four (4) three-credit hour courses each Fall and Spring semester. Develop and apply experimental approaches within new education and learning management modalities within the environmental engineering undergraduate program. 80%
- Applicant will be responsible for maintaining the student laboratory used for the environmental engineering measurements class and capstone design. Responsibilities will include calibration and quality control on all measurements in the laboratory; facilitating maintenance and upkeep of all equipment ; managing laboratory waste streams according to campus regulations and maintaining a safe environment for all undergraduate and graduate students making measurements in the laboratory. 15%
