SUMMARYÂ
The Catering Sanitation Agent is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards within catering and commissary operations. This role ensures all equipment, work areas, and materials meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The Catering Sanitation Agent supports daily catering operations by assisting with cleaning, inventory handling, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment in a fast-paced, time-sensitive settingÂ
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all commissary, warehouse, and food preparation areasÂ
- Ensure compliance with all food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsÂ
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and workspaces in accordance with company standardsÂ
- Assist with building and stripping aircraft galleys while maintaining sanitation standardsÂ
- Handle food and materials safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and temperature controlÂ
- Receive and inspect catering deliveries, including performing quality and temperature checksÂ
- Support inventory activities, including stock rotation and inventory countsÂ
- Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, storage, and organization within the facilityÂ
- Maintain safety and security of all catering and warehouse areasÂ
- Follow all Safety Management System (SMS) procedures, including hazard and incident reportingÂ
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support operational efficiencyÂ
- Maintain a professional and positive work environmentÂ
- Utilizing equipment and other tools required for sanitation and catering operationsÂ
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsÂ
- Building relationships with internal departments for smooth operationsÂ
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by managementÂ
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- 18 years of age or olderÂ
- Eligible to work in the country of employmentÂ
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Â
- Ability to work onsite and in operational environmentsÂ
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Â
- Ability to obtain and maintain required airport and security clearancesÂ
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screenÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environmentÂ
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standardsÂ
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamÂ
- Ability to follow safety procedures and food handling guidelinesÂ
- Ability to operate equipment relevant to the position (e.g., forklifts, catering vehicles) preferredÂ
- Previous experience in catering, food service, warehouse, or sanitation roles preferredÂ
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shiftsÂ
