Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Unit: PACU – Ground Floor
Position #: 665A
Contract Duration: 16 Weeks
Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Shift Time: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM
Local Candidate Policy: No local candidates within 50 miles

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU/Post Anesthesia RN experience required

  • AHA BLS certification required

  • AHA ACLS certification required

  • NIHSS certification required

  • Cerner experience required

Unit Details

  • PACU operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Holiday coverage includes call requirements

  • Handles higher-acuity post-anesthesia cases, including:

    • Thoracic

    • Orthopedic

    • Neurology

    • Vascular

    • Urology

    • General Surgery

  • Unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor

Holiday Requirements

Travelers must work 2 major holidays out of 3:

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year's Day

Additionally, travelers must work 1 minor holiday:

  • Friday after Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Eve

  • New Year's Eve
