Associate Video Editor (College Grad 2027)

Solace Health

Redwood City, CA • On-site

Full-time

This job post has expired 1 day ago. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

About Solace
Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions-and get better outcomes.
We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.
Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare-and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We're intense, and we like it that way.
Read more in our Bloomberg funding announcement here.
As an Associate Video Editor at Solace, you'll help bring our stories to life through thoughtful, high-quality video.
This is a growth-focused role for someone early in their career who is excited to develop their craft alongside experienced editors, producers, and creatives while contributing to meaningful work from day one. You'll support video projects across a variety of formats, help keep our post-production workflows organized and efficient, and play an important role in managing the growing library of video assets behind our work.
We're looking for strong creative instincts, exceptional organization, and a genuine love for editing and storytelling.
This is an in person role in our Redwood City office, 3 days a week.
What You'll Do
  • Edit video content across social, web, marketing, brand, and internal channels
  • Turn raw footage into polished edits, from initial assembly and rough cuts through final exports
  • Support post-production workflows by ingesting footage, syncing audio, organizing project files, and preparing timelines for editors
  • Help maintain and organize Solace's video assets and Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, including naming conventions, folder structures, metadata, version control, and archival
  • Help ensure footage, project files, and final assets are organized, backed up, searchable, and easily accessible across the team
  • Partner closely with editors, producers, designers, and other creatives throughout the production and post-production process
  • Incorporate creative feedback and revisions quickly and thoughtfully
  • Perform quality control across audio, resolution, formatting, exports, and brand standards before final delivery
  • Continuously improve through mentorship, feedback, and hands-on experience while helping strengthen our post-production and asset management workflows

What You Bring to the Table
  • 0-2 years of professional, academic, or personal video editing experience. We care more about the quality of your work than your title history.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software
  • A strong foundation in editing, pacing, visual storytelling, and post-production fundamentals
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience or familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM), media organization, or structured file management
  • Basic understanding of audio editing, color correction, codecs, formats, and video compression
  • Enthusiasm about working on an agile distributed team
  • Solid collaboration and communication skills
  • Curiosity and creativity
  • A genuine appetite for feedback, and the instinct to use critique to sharpen the work
  • A growth mindset, with a drive to keep improving as an editor
  • A portfolio or reel demonstrating video editing ability through professional, academic, or personal work

Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, cloud storage systems, or collaborative post-production workflows is a plus, but not required.
Who We Are
We are a team of ambitious individuals who are passionate about putting healthcare back into the hands of patients. At Solace, you'll have the opportunity to grow quickly, contribute meaningfully, and build your craft alongside a team that cares deeply about great creative work.
Applicants must be based in the United States.
Up for the Challenge?
We look forward to meeting you.
