Job description

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
    • The Senior Clinician is responsible for assisting in the daily oversight of clinical and administrative operation of the program, as well as for providing direct clinical care to patients. 
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • Two years post graduate experience working in the behavioral health field as a clinician.
      •  
        One year leadership experience in program development/operations
      • Experienced in using measures for establishing baselines and monitoring data registry outcomes for common conditions like depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders.
    • Education and Training:
      • Master’s degree in clinical social work or related healthcare field required.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • LCLILM - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in MA or LHMC Licensed Mental Health Counselor in MA.
      • CPR Certified.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Knowledge of community, state agency, outpatient behavioral health, and BH/SUD treatment resources
      • Proficiency in care coordination, managed care contact and discharge planning
      • Ability to work with BH patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
      • Understanding of knowledge, measurement, organization, methods and skills in improving healthcare performance
      • Ability to interpret, develop, and administer policies and use authority in a manner that facilitates departmental and individual excellence.
      • Ability to promote teamwork among staff, engagement and empowerment of staff which will produce staff and patient satisfaction and outcomes.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills; communicates effectively with patients, clients, family members, physicians, management and staff.
