Job description

What You Will Do:
The Behavioral Health Therapist I is a Masters-level provider working toward WI state licensure and certification/specialty authorization to treat substance use disorders, who provides clinical behavioral health services and coordination of care to patients, families and referral sources engaged with ProHealth Care. Services include those provided on the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Requirements:
  • Meets state of WI requirements for licensure/certification in accordance with their Master's degree for Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor In Training or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training
  • And meets state of WI requirements for certification as a substance use counselor (SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC)
  • Completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within (6) months of hire
  • Minimum Education: Master's degree with emphasis in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health science. Graduate internship/field placement/practicum in a behavioral health setting
  • Advanced training in family/ group therapy facilitation
  • Regular participation in educational programs designed to increase professional competence and to inform of new developments, issues and approaches in behavioral health treatment
  • 1-2 years post-graduate experience in the field of mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment
