Job Title: Skilled Laborer / Carpenter’s Helper

Job Description

This role supports carpentry crews on commercial construction projects across the Rochester area and Western New York. You assist with a wide range of construction and carpentry tasks on active job sites, helping teams meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters and construction crews at various commercial job sites across the Rochester area and Western New York.
  • Perform carpentry-related tasks, including framing, drywall work, and trim, under the direction of experienced carpenters and supervisors.
  • Support the setup, operation, and breakdown of work areas on commercial, industrial, hospitality, and educational construction projects.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow established safety procedures and apply OSHA 10 training on all job sites.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for all crew members.
  • Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment as needed to support daily operations.
  • Assist in running and supporting crews of laborers and carpenters to keep projects on schedule.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to understand task priorities and project requirements.
  • Follow instructions, project plans, and quality standards to ensure work meets expectations.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience or general construction experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
