Job Summary
Theย Project Manager II โ Nuclearย is a senior leadership role responsible forย directing, managing, and delivering complex nuclear projectsย that support organizational and strategic objectives. This position providesย strategic direction, project governance, and mentorshipย to project teams while ensuring projects are deliveredย safely, on time, within scope, within budget, and in full compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience inย nuclear project execution, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manageย large, multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Strategy
- Provideย strategic leadership and directionย for complex nuclear projects
- Lead projectย planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Ensure alignment of project objectives withย organizational and business strategies
Scope, Risk & Performance Management
- Define and manageย project scope, objectives, and deliverablesย in collaboration with stakeholders
- Develop and implementย comprehensive risk management strategiesย to proactively address technical, regulatory, and execution risks
- Monitor and control project performance, ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, and quality requirements
Execution & Governance
- Applyย advanced project management methodologiesย and innovative approaches to improve project delivery
- Maintain accurate and completeย project documentation, controls, and reporting
- Provide regularย status reports and executive-level briefingsย to senior leadership
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
- Manage communication and expectations ofย internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, operations, construction, regulatory, and executive leadership
- Ensure compliance withย nuclear safety culture, NRC regulations, and company standards
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and coachย project managers and project teams, sharing industry best practices
- Foster a high-performance, safety-focused, and collaborative project environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree inย Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 10โ15+ years of project management experience, including leadership of complex, large-scale projects
- Extensive experience managing projects inย nuclear or highly regulated utility environments
- Advanced knowledge ofย project management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Strong experience managing projects withย strategic organizational impact
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and leadย multidisciplinary teams
Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional)ย โย Required
- Advanced certifications or specialized nuclear / program management credentials โย Highly Preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managingย capital projects, outages, or major modificationsย in nuclear facilities
- Experience interfacing withย executive leadership and regulatory organizations
- Strong background in governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
