Reports To: Owner/Operator or Designated Supervisor
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Restaurant Technology Manager to support restaurant technology, equipment systems, and operational excellence across a multi-unit McDonald's organization.
This role serves as the primary technical resource for restaurant management teams, ensuring that restaurant technology systems operate efficiently and effectively. The OTP will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate with vendors, support new technology rollouts, assist with restaurant openings and remodels, and help drive operational performance through technology solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical abilities with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Technology Support
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
Self-Order Kiosks
Digital Menu Boards
Drive-Thru Technology
Mobile Order & Pay systems
Delivery integration platforms
Restaurant Wi-Fi and network infrastructure
Timekeeping and labor management systems
Back-office systems and reporting tools
Equipment & Systems Management
Coordinate service and repairs with approved vendors.
Monitor technology uptime and system performance.
Assist with preventative maintenance planning.
Support installation and replacement of technology equipment.
Maintain inventory of technical equipment and assets.
Operations Support
Partner with restaurant management teams to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency.
Support new restaurant openings, remodels, and major technology upgrades.
Assist with implementation of McDonald's technology initiatives.
Ensure restaurants comply with technology standards and security requirements.
Training & Development
Train managers and crew on technology systems and best practices.
Create simple reference guides and training materials.
Provide ongoing coaching to restaurant leadership teams.
Project Management
Lead and coordinate technology-related projects.
Work with suppliers, contractors, and McDonald's support teams.
Track project timelines and ensure successful completion.
Requirements:
Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of technical support, IT, restaurant technology, or related experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel between restaurant locations.
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Experience supporting restaurant technology systems.
Experience with networking, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
Experience managing vendors and service providers.
