About the role

The Key Account Manager (KAM) for the PAT Bio Sales Territory is responsible for driving sales growth and managing complex, high-value sales opportunities across the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical markets. This role focuses on selling Nova Biomedicals biotechnology portfolio, including advanced analytical instruments, automation systems, and associated services. The ideal candidate combines a strong scientific background with proven success in capital equipment sales and excels at building long-term customer relationships.

What youll do

  • Manage and grow key accounts within the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical markets
  • Drive sales of Nova Biomedical biotechnology products, including:
    • o BioProfile FLEX2
    • o BioProfile FAST CDV
    • o Osmotech Osmometers
    • o Automation systems
    • o Point-of-sale services
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business through proactive prospecting and lead generation
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial contact through contract negotiation and close
  • Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and on-site evaluations
  • Develop and deliver compelling value-based presentations tailored to customer needs
  • Generate accurate quotations and negotiate pricing and commercial terms
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM system
  • Manage and maintain sales demonstration and evaluation equipment
  • Collaborate with internal teams including applications, service, marketing, and product management to support customer success
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer requirements

What we are looking for in you

  • Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field required; advanced degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in capital equipment sales, with a track record of selling instruments valued over $50,000
  • Experience selling into biotechnology and/or biopharmaceutical markets strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and analytical instrumentation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong presentation, communication, and technical demonstration abilities
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear customer value propositions
  • High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and accountability
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and standard business software
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory

Physical Requirements for this role include:

Ability to travel as required (including air and ground transportation).
Valid drivers license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed for job responsibilities.
Ability to store, transport materials, samples, or demonstration equipment (up to ~25 pounds).
Ability to stand and engage with customers for extended periods.
Ability to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., customer sites, laboratories, offices).

Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Targeted Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000/year
