(DRZ) is a 31-year, employee-owned asset management firm based in Winter Park, FL, specializing in value-focused equity investment strategies for institutional clients. Role Description The Senior Investment Operations Associate is a full-time, on-site position located in Winter Park, FL, responsible for supporting the firm’s investment and client servicing activities through accurate and timely operational execution. Daily responsibilities include trade processing, reconciliation of accounts and positions, and coordination with custodians, brokers, and other external partners to resolve breaks and operational issues. The role also involves maintaining and validating data within portfolio accounting and trading systems, preparing operational reports, and supporting performance measurement and client reporting processes. The associate collaborates closely with portfolio managers, compliance, and client service teams to ensure operational integrity, adherence to internal controls, and alignment with regulatory requirements. This role is expected to identify process improvements, document procedures, and contribute to a high standard of efficiency and risk management across the operations function.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of investment operations and will be prepared to take on a leadership role, with a clear path to transition into the Director of Operations role within 3-5 years. 
  • Investment operations and portfolio accounting skills, including trade processing, cash and position reconciliation, and familiarity with custodial platforms.
  • Data management and reporting capabilities, such as maintaining accurate investment data, supporting performance measurement, and preparing client and internal reports.
  • Risk, compliance, and control orientation, with experience following documented procedures, supporting audits, and adhering to regulatory and firm policies.
  • Technical proficiency with investment operations systems (e.g., portfolio accounting and trading platforms), Microsoft Excel, and other office productivity tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across investment, operations, compliance, and client service teams.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in asset management or financial services operations; prior work with institutional clients or equity strategies is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Ability to work full time, on-site in Winter Park, FL, demonstrating reliability, integrity.
