Job description

IT Project Manager ! for the VDH Office of Information Management (OIM). The Project Manager 1 provides administrative and analytical support to the IT Portfolio Office.

This entry level role assists management by maintaining project information, preparing reports and dashboards within Service Now, coordinating meetings and ensuring project documentation is accurate and up to date. They will be collecting and analyzing portfolio data to help leadership make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and passion for working with data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, consolidate, and validate project and portfolio data from multiple sources.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio reports and executive dashboards
  • Monitor project financials, including budgets, forecasts and actual expenditures.
  • Coordinate project governance meetings, record and track follow-up action items.
  • Support portfolio planning, intake, and prioritization activities.
  • Perform data validation and maintain information within the portfolio management tool, Service Now.
  • Perform analysis and develop summary views utilizing the data to tell a story.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate portfolio performance and key metrics.
  • Assist with month-end and quarterly reporting activities.
  • Support portfolio governance by preparing reporting materials for leadership meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality.
  • Maintain reporting documentation, report definitions and standard operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelor s degree in business, information technology, management, finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint ,Outlook, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and GitLab preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
