We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what is important to them and their clients. This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Investment Engineer, Overlay Solutions partners with the Portfolio Management and Research teams to enhance the quality of both internal and external data, analysis, and content. This role primarily serves in an internal-facing capacity, focused on supporting portfolio managers in managing client portfolio and providing high-quality analysis and content to clients. The Investment Engineer will support the maintenance and continuous improvement of various internal investment processes as well as generation of new analysis and content based on unique client requests or strategic initiatives. data integrity. This person has a strong desire to internally support and enable business development and relationship management in an institutional client base investment context.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Work with key stakeholders in Overlay Solutions to maintain and enhance existing investment analysis processes, develop new quantitative content, and complete custom analysis based on client requests
  • Serve as liaison between Portfolio Management and Research in support of quantitative content supporting Overlay Solutions
  • Develop and maintain familiarity with our clients, investment offerings, and market positioning
  • Implement automation to increase team efficiency and improve the scalability of client analysis and other content generation
  • Ensure consistent processes and data integrity controls are applied to support the Portfolio Management team in the management of client accounts
  • Serve as a key contact for the production of client deliverables
  • Arrange training for investment professionals to ensure high-caliber client support and understanding of existing and new analyses and other content
  • Serve as a technical resource to the Portfolio Management Team, with the ability to handle standard and ad hoc requests through the application of systems, product knowledge, and professional relationships
  • Participate in other related tasks to support our clients or strategic initiatives, as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years relevant experience, including successful experiences in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of investment industry and related quantitative methods
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or related languages is preferred
  • Graduate degree and/or CFA is preferred
  • Understanding of Overlay Solutions and related investment instruments
  • Direct experience with derivative instruments, including swaps, options, and futures is required
  • Experience with Quantitative Investment Strategies offered by investment banks preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize, and coordinate simultaneous projects and tasks with a high attention to detail
  • Must take initiative and have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Resourceful, with a can-do attitude toward projects and willingness to apply creative problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and use new technology, coding language, etc.

Salary range for the position: $70,000 - 140,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
