Job description

The Portfolio Construction & Analytics Americas team is an integrated and active contributor to the best thinking of the CIO office. The team translates the CIO office's macro, factor and thematic views into actionable, scalable client portfolios while balancing performance and risk. Leveraging technology, the team provides deep analytical insights to clients and takes a tailored approach to portfolio construction based on client objectives and constraints. Our tailored analytics and customized recommendations enable clients to make better informed investment decisions.
This role spans strategic and tactical asset allocation, factor-aware portfolio construction, risk budgeting, implementation guidance, ETF/fund selection oversight, and close partnership with Investment Solutions, including the Capital Markets teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Asset Allocation & Portfolio Architecture
  • Work with Bankers, Investment Counsellors and Financial Advisors to design strategic, dynamic, and thematic portfolio templates and portfolio "building block" advisory frameworks for their clients.
  • Partner closely with all areas of the CIO Office (Portfolio Strategy & Portfolio Advisory) to translate insights into portfolio positioning.

Portfolio Construction & Risk Management
  • Drive portfolio construction logic that balances return opportunity, downside risk management, and liquidity for individual client mandates
  • Apply consistent frameworks as set by the Portfolio Construction & Analytics team that allows for personalized portfolio recommendations at scale.

Investment Expression & Implementation
  • Partner with Capital Markets specialists to express views through ETFs, SMAs, mutual funds, derivatives overlays, and customized multi-asset strategies consistent with CIO views.
  • Provide guidance on trade structuring, hedging overlays, liquidity sequencing, and tax-aware implementation consistent with CIO views.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 15 years of experience in portfolio construction, asset allocation, or multi-asset strategy-preferably in an institutional consulting, global wealth management, or a multi-asset investment firm.
  • Deep experience building scalable multi-asset portfolio architectures.
  • Deep expertise in macro-driven and factor-aware portfolio construction frameworks.
  • Strong grounding in quantitative methods (e.g., factor models, scenario analysis, return forecasts, stress testing, attribution).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex investment concepts with clarity and conviction to both institutional professionals and high-net-worth clients.
  • Executive presence and high credibility with global clients and internal partners.
  • Required current US FINRA Registration: SIE, Series 7, 24, 31, 63, 65. Must meet ALL US FINRA Registration requirements within 150 days of starting in the role.

Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, master's degree preferred
