Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Yard Worker/Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations of our yard, ensuring equipment is properly maintained, organized, and prepared for customer use. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to support the team in various capacities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate and demonstrate proper use of a variety of aerial and general rental equipment to customers.
  • Inspect returned equipment, documenting any damages or issues.
  • Maintain an organized and clean yard and shop area.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries using the company pick-up truck and trailer as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance on rental equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Follow up on maintenance schedules and document work performed.
  • Uphold safety standards and practices consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Other duties as assigned to support business operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow instructions.
  • Valid driver's license; Class B preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction or industrial tools.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more, bend, crouch, and work indoors and outdoors.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with equipment rentals or similar industries.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic math and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
