Job Summary

This position helps qualify patients/claimants for governmental benefits (Medi-Cal, VOC, SSI/SSDI,TPL, etc.) within established guidelines. Responsibilities include telephone screening, completing applications, follow-up with patients/claimants and county workers for successful completion of cases, submitting applications to appropriate offices, updating information in the computer database, and performing miscellaneous related duties as needed.


 Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience; healthcare environment, or any combo of experience, education or training
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (read, speak and write)
  • A desire to help others
  • Bilingual in Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese is a plus
  • Basic office skills and computer literacy required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt and manage change in a fast-paced environment
  • Type 30 wpm

Working Title: Case Manager I

Pay Rate: $21.00- $27.25 per hour (Depending on Relevant Experience)

Position Type: Full-time; Non-Exempt

Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule - Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5:00 pm & Fri 7:30 am-12:30 pm

Other: We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
