Job description

Tri-State Appliance is a Full-service maintenance and repair company for major household appliances looking for an exceptional field technician to join our team. The qualified professional will ensure that our high level of quality standards and our Google five-star rating are maintained. This position will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair major home appliances. Priority will be given to candidates with refrigerator/sealed system experience. Your home is your daily start location. We typically have 4-6 jobs available daily for you to accept through our mobile app software. A flexible schedule allows you to work as much as you want.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Accurately diagnose, repair, and perform periodic maintenance of home appliances
  • Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for services provided.
  • Complete invoices and reports as required per job assignment
  • Ensure the efficient use of materials and parts in inventory
  • Create follow-up appointments as necessary

Job Requirements:
  • Refrigerator experience is PREFERRED
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to diagnose problems and provide viable solutions
  • Time management is essential - Must be able to adhere to committed time schedules
  • Must have experience using multi-meter and other various testing devices
  • Proficiency in navigating through app-based technology

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience as a repair technician
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Must have quality tools

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

Compensation: $700.00 - $1,000.00 per week
As an appliance repair technician, you'll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you'll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You'll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you'll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
