Position Description
Job Summary:
The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and infrastructure projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee engineering projects related to port cranes, intermodal systems, and cargo handling equipment.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations in collaboration with internal teams and contractors.
  • Support installation, maintenance, and modernization projects for port infrastructure and mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and progress reports.
  • Interface with port authorities, contractors, vendors, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and schematics.
  • Assist with procurement of project materials and ensure adherence to cost and quality standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot engineering or logistical challenges as they arise.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance port efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial, marine, or port-related engineering projects.
  • Working knowledge of cranes, heavy equipment, or port systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management principles (PMP certification a plus).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and general Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work in an active port environment and adhere to all safety standards.
