Job description

Job Description
Job Description
2FF Logistics is a Savannah-based intermodal and drayage carrier running containers in and out of the Port of Savannah (Garden City Terminal) and area rail ramps. We are adding CDL-A drivers with a Hazmat endorsement and TWIC to our local container fleet.

WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE
  • Local port and rail drayage: pick up and return containers at Garden City Terminal, rail ramps, and customer docks in the Savannah area
  • Home every day. No overnights, no OTR.
  • Drive a 2FF-owned tractor; we supply the chassis. You supply the CDL and the work ethic.
  • Call in daily to see what is available. Choose your loads. No forced dispatch.
  • Paid per load / per turn, settled every week. Typical drivers gross $1,200 to $1,800 per week depending on how many turns they run.
WHAT YOU NEED
  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat (H or X) endorsement
  • Current TWIC card
  • 2+ years verifiable tractor-trailer experience; port/container experience strongly preferred
  • Clean MVR and PSP; able to pass a DOT drug screen
  • Reliable, on time, and comfortable with port gate procedures and appointment windows
GOOD TO HAVE
  • Georgia Ports Authority / eModal familiarity
  • Experience with 20', 40' and 45' containers, tri-axle chassis, and overweight permits
HOW THIS SEAT WORKS
This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Occupational accident coverage is in place. No uniforms, no forced dispatch. You decide which loads you take.

Apply now. We are scheduling road tests this week.
