CDL-A Contract Driver - Local Container Freight - Home Daily - Port of Savannah

2FF Logistics LLC runs container freight out of the Port of Savannah. We are contracting CDL-A drivers with Hazmat for local and short regional runs. Home every day. No overnights.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid per load. You are not an employee. You decide which days you work, you can turn down any load, and you are responsible for your own taxes and insurance.

THE RUN

- Container freight out of Garden City Terminal and the Port of Savannah

- Local Savannah deliveries plus short regional runs to Jacksonville, FL and Charleston, SC

- Day and night turns available

- Home daily - no overnights, no sitting out

- Year-round port volume, not seasonal

HOW IT WORKS

- You call in and we tell you what work is available that day

- You take the turns you want and pass on the ones you don't

- No forced dispatch, no set schedule, no minimum days

PAY

- Paid per load, settled weekly

- Typical earnings $1,200 - $1,800 per week depending on how many turns you run

- Rate varies by lane, container and accessorials

- 1099 - no withholding, you file your own taxes

WHAT YOU NEED

- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement (H)

- Minimum 18 months verifiable CDL-A experience

- TWIC card, or willing to obtain one before your first turn

- Clean MVR and current DOT medical card

- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen

- Occupational accident insurance

- Container, chassis or port experience preferred but not required
