Job description

Description

This position will work in the concession stand and the box office. This position will also help to clean the cinema throughout the business day. This person, with appropriate experience, may also be asked to act as floor general or projectionist. Any person may be asked to fill any of the requirements at any time. A person in this position must be able to lift 50 pounds and be available nights, weekends and holidays. 

Requirements

Concession: 

  • Attract customers to the stand and encourage purchase 
  • Engage the customer, make eye contact and give them full attention  
  • Use suggestive sales techniques ("May I get you large popcorn?")  
  • Inform customers of special promotions and bargains 
  • Offer additional products to complement their order 
  • Be courteous and thank them 
  • Smile! 
  • Give quick, efficient service 
  • Stay clean and neat in appearance 
  • Keep your stand clean, organized and well-stocked 
  • Open and close the concession stand 
  • Track inventory and spoilage control 
  • General theatre cleaning and operational tasks as directed by the General Manager, Manager or Assistant Manager on duty 

Box Office 

  • Understand procedures for computer 
  • Maintain adequate ticket supplies 
  • Ability to make change in sight of the customer
