What You'll Do:
The Maintenance Drywall and Paint Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the resort. This position is responsible for installing, repairing, finishing, and painting drywall throughout the property, including popcorn ceiling repairs, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship that reflects our brand standards.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring that all areas of the resort-guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house-are kept in excellent condition, reflecting our commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. The ability to troubleshoot issues, perform timely repairs, and maintain a safe and polished environment is essential. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. Employee Housing - first-come, first-served.
Position starts at $22.00-$26.00 per hour DOE.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Tape, mud, and sand drywall seams to create a smooth, finished surface.
  • Repair damaged drywall, including patching holes, cracks, and water damage.
  • Match existing textures and finishes to maintain a seamless appearance.
  • Prime and paint drywall surfaces to match hotel design and color schemes.
  • Perform touch-up painting and full wall repaints as needed.
  • Repair and restore popcorn ceilings, including patching, retexturing, and painting.
  • Remove and replace damaged or outdated popcorn ceiling textures as needed
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team, depending on the task.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all hotel safety protocols.
  • Assist with additional maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Remove, replace, and fully reconstruct damaged or outdated ceilings tiles.

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drywall materials, tools, and techniques. - required
  • Demonstrated expertise in painting techniques, including priming, rolling, brushing and color matching. - required
  • Experience repairing and retexturing popcorn ceilings. preferred
  • Basic carpentry skills are a plus. - preferred
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work on ladders. - required
  • Proficient at written and verbal communication in English - required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite - preferred
