Seeking an enthusiastic and personable Pool Bartender to provide outstanding service to our poolside guests. The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and skilled in delivering a memorable guest experience in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

  • Positions include bartender, server, attendant, barback and food runner
  • Offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the pool deck and inventory of guest amenities
  • Shifts include weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Follow restaurant and pool deck policies, procedures and service standards
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
  • Adhere to payment and cash handling procedures
  • May have to assist other outlets and other F&B departments as needed
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available through In Room Dining.
  • Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Previous experience in food service industry an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Previous point of sale system experience an asset
  • Food handler & TABC certifications required
  • Certification in CPR an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
