Other responsibilities include mixing chemicals, testing the water, and maintaining the appropriate balance of chlorine and pH in the water. As part of their routine maintenance services, a pool technician may clean the pool and the surrounding area. Some technicians work at a single location, such as a large aquatics center where they are on-call, while others work independently or for pool servicing companies who service a range of commercial and residential clients.
