Job description

The Sonnenalp Club is looking for a Pool Attendant with the desired start date of August until September. Applications will be accepted through August 15, 2026, or until the position is filled.
Wage $ 20.00 / hour
Typical Schedule: must workSaturday 10:00 am -3:00 pm Sunday 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Primary Purpose of Position
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: member/guest experience, troubleshooting, evaluating, and understanding procedures. He or she will monitor the pool rules and policies. Making certain that the pool is stocked with towels and keeping the chairs and tables clean and organized. After each time slot is complete, they will be required to sanitize each chair and table before the next reservation time. Will be responsible for closing the pool in the evening, making sure it is in good working order for the next day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the pool experience.
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the pool.
  • Doing all aspects of towel laundering including washing, drying and folding. Utilizing front desk staff to assist in folding as well.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of pool deck, chairs and tables.
  • Responsible for ensuring positive member/guest experience.
  • Responsible for responding to positive/negative guest experiences.
  • Maintain professionalism and direct standards of the dress codes.
  • Help front desk by covering lunch breaks.
  • Make rounds on the fitness floor ensuring its cleanliness.

Education/Experience
  • Adult and Child CPR/First Aid Certified.
  • Must be self-starter and demonstrate initiative when unsupervised.
  • Strong Leadership skills.

Special Skills/Equipment
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Personable and welcoming attitude to all members and guests in facility.
  • Knowledge of the fitness industry and fitness equipment.
  • Ability to Multitask

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Must maintain good physical fitness, able to lift at least 25 pounds and move boxes above shoulder level and must be able to stand for substantial periods of time working at the front desk, walking the facility and/or doing physical inventory.
  • Able to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting
  • Visual acuity and hearing to recognize emergency situations and take effective courses of action
  • Must keep a good physical and professional appearance.
