Job description

We are looking for a Part-Time Groundskeeper for our Pelican Cove location. This community has 402 units and is located in Florissant, MO. As the Groundskeeper, you are responsible for the overall upkeep of the apartment community landscape and exterior image.

Responsibilities: (included, but are not limited to)

  • Keeps all exterior areas of the property clean and free of all debris by picking up trash and cigarette butts
  • Sweeps sidewalks and keeps them clean and clear of debris and hazards.
  • Keeps all dumpster areas clean and presentable.
  • Ensures that all exterior lighting is operable, changes bulbs when needed
  • Clears all vacant apartments of any debris, trash or any other items left behind by previous resident(s) before the apartment being made-ready.
  • Maintains the pool/hot tub.
  • Cleans amenities such as dog spa, fitness center & dog park
  • Completes all required checks and ensures logs are kept up-to-date.
  • Completes landscaping duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ months of grounds keeping, pool service, or cleaning experience preferred
  • CPO preferred
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, shovel, and lift over 50lbs frequently
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Great attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve results individually
  • Enjoys outdoor work
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
  • Physically able to operate power equipment
  • Able to work in a variety of weather conditions

Physical Demands: Will be exposed to the constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, climbing stairs and ladders.
