We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded Pool Attendant - Full Time to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. The Pool Attendant welcomes guests, providing water, towels, and assistance with personal accommodation for guests around the pool decks and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.
Responsibilities
    • Greet guests and assist with their arrival: provide an overview of pool area and service, offer towels and escort to seating area.
    • Verify guest room numbers to ensure only hotel guests are utilizing the pool areas.
    • Check in with Host to review all cabana and chair reservations for the day.
    • Set up all daybeds and cabanas
    • Set tables according to service standards.
    • Answer questions on menu selections to guests.
    • Ensure adequate supply of linen and amenities.
    • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
    • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with guest pool experience.
    • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
    • Clean and maintain pool area continuously. Pick up and drop off linens to/from linen area.
    • Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
    • Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking items, organizing towels and all pool attendant supplies.
    • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are well kept and professional.
    • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
    • Run food and bus tables to ensure a flawless service.
    • Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
    • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
    • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
    • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
    • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
    • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
    • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
    • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
    • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front of the house employees
    • Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
    • Perform related duties as required.
    • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area and the general property.
    • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
    • Be aware of situations where guests cannot safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
    • All side-work completed thoroughly and done in a timely fashion.
    • Checks are closed out in ten minutes or less after the guests have paid.
    • Guest's name, table number and room number are put on all checks with the appropriate guest count.
    • Participate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associates/coworkers.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic in challenging outdoor conditions.

Qualifications
  • Be a person that thrives in creating experiences for our guests that go beyond the expected.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing, always in a professional way toward guests and associates.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous experience working outdoors in diverse weather conditions preferred.
  • Ability to observe pool activities closely, identifying any potential hazards or safety concerns, and taking prompt action to address them.
