Job description

We are seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer to support enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) deployments, server builds, and application upgrades across UAT and Production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server administration, database management, IIS, infrastructure technologies, networking, and deployment automation. Experience with Apriso MES deployments and manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Core Responsibilities
  • Build and configure Core and Plant servers for UAT and Production environments.
  • Install and configure Windows Server roles, IIS, Web Deploy, and application pools.
  • Perform database setup, backup/restore, script execution, and troubleshooting using SQL Server and Oracle tools.
  • Deploy and configure Apriso MES applications, including post-installation activities.
  • Configure Remote Desktop Web Client, MPI, and OPC servers.
  • Execute major and minor MES upgrade activities and provide post-upgrade production support.
  • Validate deployment packages following standard deployment procedures.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for deployment failures and configuration issues.
  • Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, and database-related deployment problems.
  • Coordinate deployment activities with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Production Support teams during releases and plant go-live events.
  • Create and maintain deployment documentation, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Improve existing deployment processes through automation and documentation enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) administration.
  • Basic Linux administration knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Oracle TOAD.
  • Ability to troubleshoot SQL queries, execute scripts, perform backup/restore, and basic database performance tuning.
  • Infrastructure experience with strong networking fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • IIS Administration
    • Web Deploy
    • Application Pool Configuration
    • Reverse Proxy Concepts
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Apriso MES deployment and administration.
  • Knowledge of Apriso Global Production Manager (GPM).
  • Familiarity with Apriso Desktop Client and Process Builder.
  • Experience supporting MES production environments and manufacturing deployments.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deployment issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Strong documentation and process improvement abilities.

  • 6+ years of experience in deployment engineering, infrastructure support, or application deployment.
