Summary: Professional table service from greeting customers, taking orders, delivery of food and beverages to cash handling. Responsibilities include: (1) Greet and seat customers with courtesy and professionalism. (2)Knowledgeable explanation of specials and menu items for customers. (3) Taking orders and entering them into the POS system. (4) Proper service of food and beverages as well as clearing of plates/bussing tables. (5) Communicating effectively and efficiently with both front and back of house, (6) Perform in a team-based environment with faculty, students and staff. (7) Maintain policies and standard operating processes and procedures for restaurant and catering operations. (6) Complete all side work and opening/closing checklists as required. (8) Maintain proper food safety standards. (9) Implement special responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a fine dining setting with banquet experience preferred. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) Strong communication and time-management abilities. (b) Ability to exhibit high profile, customer-oriented, professional demeanor; c) Ability to function in fast-paced environment to make effective decisions in crisis situations; (d) Ability to adapt to differences and changes in programs, colleagues, students and customers; (e) Ability to function independently (f) Ability to carry trays and lift up to 50 lbs. as well as walking/standing for long periods of time. Education: Minimum High School diploma. ServSafe Certification a plus.
