Overview:
To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.
Responsibilities:
  • o Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and corridors on an ongoing basis, including paint, wallpaper, and plastering.
  • o Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for the Omni CARE program.
  • o Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
  • o Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to their destination if possible).
  • o Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
  • o Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
  • o Respond to all requests.
  • o Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
  • o Keep all work areas clean.

Qualifications:
  • o Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred.
  • o Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.
  • o Must be able to patch, float, and repair damaged surfaces.
  • o Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy, and Bondo.
  • o Must be able to apply caulk.
  • o Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
  • o Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • o Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
