Job description

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and replacement of the hotelโ€™s systems and equipment in line with property standards. This role includes general maintenance tasks in the areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and pool operations, ensuring all hotel facilities are operating efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will also assist with various Engineering-related duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general plumbing and electrical services, including maintenance, repair, or replacement of hotel plumbing equipment and electrical systems.
  • Operate and maintain HVAC, boilers, chillers, and pool equipment.
  • Take hourly readings of equipment and machinery per manufacturerโ€™s recommendations and hotel standards, adjusting as needed.
  • Record and analyze utility readings, chemical treatments, water softeners, and make necessary adjustments for boilers and chillers.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current techniques for installing, maintaining, and repairing fixtures, plant operations services, and equipment.
  • Notify the Shift Manager/Lead Stationary Engineer of outages or mechanical malfunctions.
  • Complete and maintain accurate logs and records for boiler operations, chiller operations, emergency diesel systems, fire pump systems, and other required logs.
  • Provide cost estimates for labor and materials for specific projects.
  • Complete all paperwork, service requests, and closing duties before the end of the shift, and review the status of tasks with the Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • 1 year of general maintenance experience (Preferred).
