We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Work Shift</b></p>Various (United States of America)<p></p><p></p><h2><u><b><b>Job Summary</b></b></u></h2><ul><li>The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. </li><li>Region Four includes Columbia County Medical Center & MCG Health Medical Center.</li><li>As a <b>CT Technologist</b> for Region Four, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve. </li><li>If you prefer a role that avoids routine, lets you use your full skill set, and provides straightforward pay, this could be a strong fit.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><h2><u><b><b>Pay</b></b></u></h2><ul><li>In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b><u>Schedule & Incentives</u></b></h2><ul><li><div>This role can offer a competitive<b> relocation assistance package </b>for eligible candidates</div></li><li>A<span> </span><b>full‑time</b> position with a variable schedule, based on organizational needs and may include<span> </span><b>12-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts</b></li><li>Benefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and more</li><li>Access to<span> </span><b>Wellstar’s CareerCare program</b> for fully funded education and guided career progression</li></ul><p></p><h2><u><b><b>Required Qualifications</b></b></u></h2><p></p><h3><i><b>Education</b></i></h3><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program</li></ul><p></p><h3><i><b>Experience</b></i></h3><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting</li><li>Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting</li></ul><p></p><h3><i><b>Certifications</b></i></h3><ul><li>ARRT-R (Radiography)</li><li>ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)</li><li>BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association</li></ul><p></p><p></p><h2><u><b><b>Core Responsibilities</b></b></u></h2><ul><li>Perform CT exams per physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.</li><li>Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and screen for contraindications (including contrast risk).</li><li>Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and communicate with patients/families with empathy and confidence.</li><li>Prepare and position patients; assist with mobility, safe transfers, and use immobilization/shielding as needed.</li><li>Establish IV access using sterile technique and maintain venipuncture competency.</li><li>Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions; escalate concerns promptly.</li><li>Operate CT scanners and power injectors safely; confirm proper anatomical markers and scan parameters.</li><li>Optimize technique to achieve diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).</li><li>Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings/clinical changes, and involve the radiologist/physician when indicated.</li><li>Complete documentation accurately and on time; manage RIS entries, PACS uploads, and CDs/logs when required.</li><li>Perform, document, and follow through on QC checks, calibration verification, and compliance/audit standards.</li><li>Maintain smooth daily operations by prioritizing workload, supporting cross-coverage/clerical needs, keeping rooms stocked and equipment cleaned/disinfected, participating in on-call, and adhering to regulatory/Joint Commission standards.</li></ul><p></p><h2>Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
