Responsible in maintaining public spaces including the lobby, restrooms, hallways and entrances, as well as assisting with guest requests. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, and social demeanor that contributes to a hospitable environment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
  • Maintain public areas as follows: Lobby, Corridors, Banquet Areas, Pool Facilities, Entrances, and public restrooms which involves vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, etc.
  • Properly maintain cleanliness and supplies for public areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room and housekeeping staff rest rooms
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, floor shampooer, housekeeping carts, mop unit, etc.
  • Accommodations made pertaining to guest rooms to include (make bed(s), cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and dusting) if day staff cannot access during shift due to the fact that guests may have requested late service or guest room may have had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on door during the day.
  • Perform turndown service if required.
  • Report maintenance concerns
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy, such as delivering cots, cribs, pillows and other guest related supplies within 10 minutes of receiving call.
  • Assist with laundry operations whenever necessary, such as sorting soiled linen and terry, load and unload washers and dryers, and neatly folding clean linen and terry and placing them in proper storage locations. Task may also include ensuring proper chemical levels in the washing machines and cleaning dryer lint traps and washer filters.
  • Comply with all department, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.

Salary

The Salary for this position is $15.50 - $16 per hour.
