Job description

Pony Express Chevrolet-Buick is seeking a skilled GM Service Technician to join our team in Gothenburg, NE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with a focus on General Motors vehicles. This role offers competitive compensation of $50,000 yearly, paid bi-weekly plus aggressive performance-based commissions and an opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on GM vehicles efficiently and accurately.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols to ensure high-quality service.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and GM technology advancements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an automotive service technician, preferably with GM vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service bulletins.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; automotive certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • ASE Certification(s)
