Job description

TITLE:  Sr. 1 Maintenance Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Perform duties required to maintain and repair polyethylene blown film extrusion lines with conveying and winding equipment and multi-lane bag machines with auto pak equipment. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in mechanical and electrical related fields.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s mechanical and/or electrical experience maintaining industrial equipment or equivalent
  • Ability to work shift work, weekends and 12-hour shifts (day and night)
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate nonstandard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform complex duties required to install, maintain and repair polyethylene blown film extrusion lines with conveying and winding equipment, multi-lane bag machines with Auto Pak equipment and related machinery.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on extruders and bag machines according to close     specifications and standardized procedures.
  • Able to switch over the process air.
  • CPR training.
  • Overhaul born binders mech.
  • Overhaul born binders electrical.
  • Trained to lift an autopak.
  • Trained to lift a winder.
  • Change winder linear bearings.
  • Repair rail car unloader equipment.
  • Make guards, abs, Lexan.
  • Fire pumps training.
  • Resin system trouble shooting
