Job description

Job Overview:
Primoris Distribution Services is seeking an experienced Gas Distribution Fuser to join our team in Greenville, Texas. This position requires previous natural-gas distribution experience and hands-on experience performing poly fusion, also known as poly welding or pipe fusion.
The current project is located in Leonard, Texas; however, the crew truck departs from Greenville each day. Candidates must be able to report to Greenville daily.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform poly fusion on polyethylene gas pipe and fittings.
  • Inspect, prepare, align, and fuse pipe according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground natural-gas distribution systems.
  • Operate fusion equipment and related tools safely and correctly.
  • Inspect completed fusion joints to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Assist the crew with excavation, backfilling, pipe installation, and general jobsite duties as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized work area.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in natural-gas distribution is required.
  • Previous poly-fusion, poly-welding, or pipe-fusion experience is required.
  • Knowledge of underground gas-pipeline construction and safe work practices.
  • Ability to report to Greenville, Texas, each workday.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to travel to surrounding project locations as needed.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
