Fall 2026 Intern - Communications
C4ADS is looking for an ambitious and energetic individual who is passionate about our mission to detect and defeat global illicit networks to join our communications team! This is an exciting, paid opportunity for a self-starter who wants to combine their passion for international relations and communications skills to help tell C4ADS' story.
What You'll Do
  • Draft content for social media (X, LinkedIn, Facebook) and regularly gather and analyze platform analytics, adhering to brand and tone guidelines
  • Assist with the design and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across social media, mass email, earned media, and web
  • Collaborate with the Communications team and executive leadership on efforts to grow our presence, followers, and engagement
  • Develop targeted audience dissemination lists for key analysis and product launches, with an eye toward reaching the right stakeholders across geographies, issue areas, and sectors
  • Research and produce recommendations to more effectively engage identified audience segments
  • Support event production - from logistics coordination and run-of-show planning to on-site execution
  • Collect and surface C4ADS-relevant news and content to share across public platforms
  • Monitor daily media coverage and flag relevant developments
  • Design templates for social media, mass email, and web
  • Assist in keeping databases and contact management systems current

What We're Looking For
  • Able to convey complex information - including academic research and public policy - to broad and diverse audiences in a concise, clear, and conversational manner
  • Highly collaborative, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and manages competing priorities well
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to track deadlines and flag potential conflicts proactively
  • Receptive to feedback and able to turn edits around quickly
  • Currently pursuing a degree in international relations, political science, journalism, PR/marketing, or public affairs
  • Previous experience at a media organization, think tank, nonprofit, NGO, or PR firm preferred

Program Details
  • Open to current undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates.
  • Program starts 9/1/2016 and will run 12-14 weeks
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US; C4ADS does not sponsor work authorizations for interns
  • Stipend of up to $9,600 per semester, for interns who can commit to at least 30 hours per week
  • Please note that we ask you are able to commit to at least 30 hours per week to your work.
