The Opportunity
Lesley University always welcomes applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach upcoming classes in our Social Sciences programs at the undergraduate level. These programs include classes in Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Political Science, and Sociology. Courses include a range of foundational, general education, and major-level classes. Classes in this department are either taught in-person or remotely depending on the specific course.
Lesley University hires Adjunct Faculty on a regular cadence to support our Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. By applying to an Evergreen position, your materials will remain on file and be reviewed on an as-needed basis throughout the upcoming semesters. As such, you will be put into consideration for current and future adjunct positions within the Social Sciences subject areas. The specific course hired for is subject to change depending on semester, course catalog, and department needs.

Qualities & Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:

• A Master's degree in Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Political Science, Sociology, or related field (required); PhD or terminal degree (preferred)
• Successful experience teaching in the particular discipline at the undergraduate level
• Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning with an emphasis on student engagement
