An associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer is hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee being assigned the following semester. The teaching hours for an associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester.

While the announcement lists this position as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.

• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

The Political Science department at UWSP consists of 4 full-time faculty members, with approximately 80 undergraduate student majors and robust minors in Political Science, Law and Policy, and Peace Studies. In addition to general classes in American politics and global affairs, the department specializes in constitutional law, environmental policy, foreign policy, gender and minority group politics, and public policy analysis. Compensation & Benefits:

The Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is a part-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month), instructional academic staff position.

• Minimum of a master's degree in Political Science from an accredited college or university.

• Experience with college level instruction.

• Ability to effectively instruct and engage with a wide range of students, encompassing diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities.

• Earned doctorate in Political Science from an accredited college or university. ABD considered.

• Demonstrated commitment to reflective teaching practices.

• Experience with teaching in multiple modalities, such as in-person, online, and hybrid.
