We are currently seeking Holistic Youth & Family Advisors (HYFA)to provideFunctional Family Therapy (FFT)andFamily Check-Up (FCU)services to families in need of support, guidance, and empowerment.


Functional Family Therapy (FFT)andFamily Check-Up (FCU)are both evidence-based, strength-focused approaches designed to improve family relationships, enhance communication, and reduce problem behaviors in youth. You will deliver these interventions to help families build stronger connections, develop effective parenting strategies, and sustain lasting positive change.


The Family Check-Up Model is a unique, strength-based approach to improving family mental health, child behavior, and family relationships. The Family Check-Up Professional works with high and low risk youth and parents to provide parents with the tools and tailored support that they need to manage their childrens behaviors and improve their parenting practices by enhancing the quality of all of their family relationships.

Purpose

To positively impact at-risk youth (ages 217) and their parents or guardians who face barriers to success. Through FFT and FCU, families are guided to strengthen parenting skills, improve family management practices, and foster emotional, behavioral, and academic growth for their children.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend all required trainings, consultations, and supervisions to become certified/qualified inFunctional Family Therapy (FFT)andFamily Check-Up (FCU)delivery.
  • Providehome- and community-based servicesto identified at-risk families.
  • Implement the FFT and FCU models using motivational interviewing, family systems principles, and parent skills training.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with youth and caregivers to support engagement and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with agency staff, case managers, and community partners through meetings, consultations, and regular communication.
  • Connect families to appropriate community resources and follow-up services.
  • Act as a positive role model and uphold theLife Push brand of excellencein all interactions.
  • Respect cultural differences and support each familys right to self-determination and independence.
  • Attend required supervisions, company meetings, and participate in both internal and external presentations.
  • Contribute to special company programs and initiatives as needed.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be able and willing to work flexible hours - (afternoon, evenings, and some weekends)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a COMPLETED 4-Year degree in a human services or counseling related field REQUIRED
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass multiple thorough background checks
  • Must have a valid drivers license with the ability to provide a copy of your current driving record. (Driving record must be in good standing)
  • Must have reliable transportation with valid insurance
  • Must be willing to travel across listed counties to provide services
  • Open to cultural differences and willingness to go through company orientation and training before being paired with a client
  • Must have and demonstrate good listening skills, patience and a sense of awareness
  • Must adhere to deadlines and expectations for client safety.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of experience in counseling or mental health field &/or parent training programs working with families and/or parents/caregivers
