DESCRIPTION
Basic Function
ALTA Language Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned, professional interpreter responsible for successfully supporting training students as they practice interpretation skills. Interpretation coaches are responsible for utilizing the curriculum and methods set forth by ALTA Language Services.
Responsibilities
Delivery of telephonic and/or video-remote coaching services
Timely completion of feedback reports
Excellent and punctual communication at all times
Adherence to ALTA curriculum and method of teaching
Consistent trainings with ALTA to learn updated materials and processes
Provide superior customer service to ALTA students
Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Skills
Strong time management skills.
High level of professional appearance and conduct.
Eager to take initiative and amenable to ALTA Language Services feedback.
Excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining tact and diplomacy in all situations.
Ability to motivate students.
Self-teaching, with the support of ALTA staff.
Must be detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to work independently and uphold the standards of ALTA Language Services.
Must have email access with the capability to send and receive attached files, and must be able to navigate the Internet.
Education/Training
Certificate from a reputable 40-hour medical interpreter training course
National Certification in Interpretation (Preferred).
Graduate of Breaking Boundaries in Healthcare (Preferred).
College degree from a four-year institution.
Knowledge of basic audio/visual/computer functions.

Experience
At least 2 years of professional interpretation experience, completed after graduation from a 40-hour medical interpreter training course. Experience as both a contracted and staff interpreter for a total minimum of 1 year.
Salary
Current price range for the position of Interpretation Instructor: from $30.00 per hour to $40.00 per hour. Actual pay depends on several factors, including but not limited to: language coached, level of education, knowledge, skill, qualifications, certifications, previous experience in similar positions, market pay/ rates, comparable salaries, demographic factors, geographical location, jobs availability, budget availability, revenue, etc.
