About the Role
AI is rapidly becoming one of the most influential sources of health information in the world. We're looking for public health professionals to help make sure it gets things right.
At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to train cutting-edge language models. As a Health Policy & Management AI Data Trainer, you'll bring your expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy to challenge and improve how AI reasons about population health - ensuring it reflects scientific consensus, ethical standards, and real-world complexity.
This is a fully remote, flexible contractor role that lets you do meaningful work on your own schedule.

    • What You'll Do
    • Design Complex Public Health Scenarios
      - Create advanced challenges involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and statistical interpretation of clinical trials to rigorously test AI understanding
    • Author Ground-Truth Solutions
      - Develop rigorous, step-by-step responses grounded in peer-reviewed research, epidemiological data, and authoritative guidelines (CDC, WHO, and others)
    • Audit AI Outputs
      - Evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for accuracy, bias, misinformation, and adherence to ethical standards
    • Refine AI Reasoning
      - Provide structured, expert feedback to help models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate risk accurately, and serve diverse populations equitably
      • Who You Are
      • Holder of a
        Masters in Public Health (MPH), MSPH
        , or closely related graduate degree
      • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of:
        Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
      • Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, actionable, and culturally sensitive written content
      • Detail-oriented - precise when checking statistical significance, data citations, and the logic of health interventions
      • No prior AI experience required - your subject matter expertise is what matters
        • Nice to Have
        • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research coordination
        • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
        • Background in health communication, clinical research, or public health surveillance
