Gamer's Choice is a team of passionate gamers, creators, and innovators based in Queens, New York. What began as a small local shop has grown into one of the leading destinations for Trading Card Game players and collectors around the world. We're driven by a shared love for gaming and community, offering both an engaging online experience and a vibrant in-store atmosphere. Our mission is to be the ultimate home for fans to connect, compete, and celebrate the games they love. While Yu-Gi-Oh! has always been our foundation, we're expanding into exciting new titles like Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, and Disney Lorcana. Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.
Role: A high-energy overnight livestream host streaming on Whatnot, showcasing TCG products, engaging viewers, driving conversions, and maintaining a fun, community-focused atmosphere. It combines on-camera performance, sales execution, product prep, and stream operations.
Location: 34-09 Queens Blvd, Long Island City, 11101
Schedule:
Evening: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (Thursday - Monday)
Compensation: $20.00 - 35.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
  • Host engaging, high-energy live sales events on Whatnot, showcasing and selling TCG products to a live audience.
  • Create a fun, welcoming, and interactive environment that responds to viewer questions, encourages participation, and fosters community.
  • Use effective sales techniques to highlight product features, build urgency for limited-time or exclusive items, and drive conversions.
  • Prepare and organize all products, technical equipment, and visual displays before each stream to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Track and analyze sales performance and viewer engagement metrics to improve future streams.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative show themes, promotions, and strategies to grow viewership and sales.

Requirements:
  • Comfortable on camera with a charismatic, confident, and personable on-screen presence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) for data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, live-selling environment.
  • Physically able to lift and move boxes/products as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player mindset.

Nice to haves:
  • Prior experience or strong familiarity with the Pokémon TCG.
  • Prior experience selling on Whatnot or other live shopping platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of TCG trends, collectibles market, and audience preferences.
  • Basic video or audio setup knowledge (lights, camera, mic, etc.).
