Job Summary
The Application Specialist provides enterprise-level support for Cantex's suite of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including Homecare Home Base, PointClickCare, Netsmart myUnity, and NetHealth. This role diagnoses application issues, assists users with troubleshooting, collaborates with software vendors, and delivers clear, step-by-step guidance to end users. The Application Specialist also creates documentation, maintains knowledge base resources, and ensures timely resolution of application-related tickets.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping users, explaining technical concepts clearly, and supporting healthcare applications in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Programming, Information Systems, or related field
• Proven experience as an Application Specialist or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Homecare Home Base, PointClickCare, Netsmart myUnity, or NetHealth
• Strong understanding of cloud-hosted healthcare applications
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot application issues
• Familiarity with remote desktop tools and help desk ticketing systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical assistance verbally and in writing
Essential Functions
• Provide application support for Homecare Home Base, PointClickCare, NetHealth, and Netsmart myUnity
• Research and identify solutions by collaborating with application vendors and internal teams
• Create knowledge base articles and documentation for recurring issues
• Ask targeted questions to quickly identify root causes
• Deliver prompt and accurate feedback to users
