What is a Point S?

A Point S job refers to a position at Point S, a network of independent tire and auto service dealers. Employees may work in roles such as tire technicians, sales associates, or service advisors. These jobs typically involve assisting customers with tire sales, installation, maintenance, and other automotive services. The work environment is often fast-paced and customer-focused.

What does a Point S do?

Point S employees typically work at retail locations of the Point S network, which is a group of independent tire and auto service centers. Their main roles include selling, installing, and servicing tires, as well as providing general vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, and alignment. Employees may work as technicians, customer service representatives, or managers, ensuring vehicles are safe and customers receive quality service. Point S is known for combining local business ownership with the support of an international network, allowing employees to offer competitive prices and expert advice.

What are the typical responsibilities of someone working at a Point S location, and how do they collaborate with the team?

At a Point S location, team members typically handle tasks such as assisting customers with tire selections, performing tire installations and repairs, and providing maintenance services like wheel alignments or oil changes. To thrive as a Point of Sale (POS) Specialist, you need a solid understanding of retail operations, sales processes, and customer service, often supported by relevant experience or a background in business or IT. Familiarity with POS software systems, barcode scanners, and inventory management platforms is typically required, and certifications in POS systems can be advantageous.
