Job description

POD MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Pod Manager ensures the overall management of parents and staff members assigned to their case.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Clinical Services Coordinator

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises Team Therapists/Registered Behavior Technicians  
Oversees and delegates the daily work activities of the pod
Manages parent/client schedules and relations
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and oversee the schedules of assigned clients and caregivers daily.
Manage and oversee planned and unplanned absences of staff and clients.
Supervise employees including hiring, performance monitoring, training, policy adherence, and disciplinary action.
Coordinate and conduct new hire training.
Provide direct services when needed for coverage purposes (sub/floater).
Conduct employee performance evaluations, including goal setting, and the oversight of performance between evaluations.
Establish high employee engagement by supporting initiative, communication, and development of leadership skills. 
Assist other staff in the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Maintain professional boundaries with employees.
Maintain high levels of client and employee satisfaction.
Deliver ABA interventions including direct therapy with children, caregiver training, consultations, and trainings.
Ensure the accuracy of all timesheets of clients/assigned employees on a weekly basis.
Coordinate with the child’s team, family and other providers to ensure consistency.
Attend and facilitate mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and team meetings.
Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and be a company role model by supporting the clinical leadership team in staff engagement, overall improvement, and company growth.
Model high levels of professional behavior by prioritizing quality of care, demonstrating excellent leadership skills, and collaborating with the clinical leadership team.
Provide short term or focused interventions per competency level.
Maintain audit-ready patient records.
Utilize safe amp; appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Adhere to all BCC policies as noted in the Employee Handbook.
Additional duties as assigned by employment supervisor.
Depending on capacity and employee count on pod, provide facility support with the Clinical Services Coordinator.
EDUCATION:
High School or Equivalent
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Must maintain CPR, and First Aid certifications throughout employment.
Valid and up to date RBT certification
Must meet the RBT 2 skill evaluation score requirement of 3+
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
Experience providing direct ABA therapy to children with autism.
Relevant management experience
Current trainee pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification

Starting Pay: $43,680
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Must be proficient in effectively demonstrating, teaching, and creatively utilizing ABA strategies with a variety of individuals including caregivers, other providers, new staff, and knowledgeable BCBAs.
Must have extensive knowledge in autism spectrum disorders, treatment for ASD at a comprehensive level, and staff training.
Must have strong supervision skills.
Must have excellent time management skills and exceptional abilities to multitask.
Must be fluent in safety procedures such as CPR, First Aid, and crisis behavior management.
Must have excellent professional skills.
Must have effective communication with clients and staff members.
Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing.
Must have a “can do” approach to work.
Must have great problem solving and people skills.
Must be punctual and reliable.
BASIC amp; PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the treatment plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer, electronic, and paper documentation.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Must have visual acuity to read, comprehend and conduct written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
Must be physically present at the assigned job location.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites.
RELATED TRAININGS:
Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed including, but not limited to: CPR, First Aid and other company in-services and trainings as directed by employment supervisor.
